To God be the Glory Part III

The past few weeks we have been talking about living a life the glorifies God.  I have given you illustrations from both the New Testament and the Old Testament, today I want to give you the application of what we have learned.

To God Be The Glory Part II

A.    Last week I introduced you to this scripture which is really the summation of what we have been talking about regarding our Christian liberties and freedoms.  We moved from exercising our Christian freedoms on how it affects other, how it affects you, and now we are talking about how it affects God.  I asked last week, Do you glorify God in all that you do?  Remember our key verse here

1.      Do everything for the Glory of God:

1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)
31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Overcoming the Temptation of Idols Part II Idols, the second commandment instructs us not to erect idols in our life. often times we think of an idol as a statue, ore some object, but Idol worship can also mean placing anything above God. That means family, sports, even a spouse. what keeps you from a true relationship with God, do you have any idols that you place before God? Pastor Bob talks about erecting such idols in your life.
Overcoming the Temptation of Idols If you had to give God an account of your life right now, and where you  are going to spend eternity depends on the answer you give God, would God welcome you into heaven?  most of us plan our life for retirement which only lasts a few years, many of us never make it to retirement, but most of us plan for it.  But what about eternity?  do you plan for that?  the best retirement plan you can have is giving your life to Jesus and being a dedicated, committed person to Christ, for that is your retirement, what you invest for eternity is the most important thing you can do.
Overcoming Temptation Part II Overcoming temptation in your life takes discipline and will power on your part.  Pastor Bob gives 5 things you can do to avoid the snare of temptation and keep yourself from falling into sin.
Overcoming Temptation Part I When Jesus was asked how we should pray, He gave us a model prayer. In that prayer Jesus gave us this part, "lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." I'm not sure that we fully understand what Jesus was telling us. Pastor Bob explains what temptation is and steps to avoid letting your temptation lead you into sin.
Useful or Useless Part II Be careful in what you do, what you indulge in. If you walk to confident in your faith you may fall into sin and become disqualified for service to God. Pastor Bob expresses the concern of becoming disqualified and mixing idolatry with your faith. He points out things to consider and things to do that will help you in your walk with God for a good witness and testimony
Useful or Useless?
Being Emptied to be Filled Everyone is on a different journey in life, and everyone has a different trial or difficulty they go through. Yet God uses all things for our benefit and He allows difficulties our life for many reasons, one of them is to strengthen our walk and trust in Him. Sometimes He uses our circumstances to empty us so He can fill us back up again. Our difficulties aren't pleasant a the time but in the end it will make us better if we allow it to train us.
A Fathers Vital Role The role of the father in the home is vital for the stability of the home. The father is the spiritual leader in the home, but so often is it neglected. Deuteronomy 4:9 and chapter six emphasis the importance in raising up our children in a godly home.
Taking Your Personal Liberties Too Far What to do when the Bible doesn't tell you specifically what to do. We call those areas the gray areas. We have been focusing on practicing your Christian liberties. How do you know if you should or shouldn't do something. Pastor Bob Explains reasons you should limit your liberties.
Don't Become Disqualified Paul says to run this race of life seeking an imperishable crown. The world has a lot to offer except eternal life. Seeking after worldly treasures is empty gain, but seeking after Christ is eternal.

Unity in the Church Part I

We as a church are suppose to be unified in the spirit, and God should be in us all, and if He is in us then we should be unified.  But so often, like our children, we disagree, fight, bicker, and allow hard feelings to separate that which is to be unified.

Unity In The Church

Epehsiansfour Paul instructs the church to live in peace, to be unified for one purpose for the purpose is to glorify God.  It doesn’t glorify God when His own children fight, bicker, and disown one another.  God the Father want us, His Church to live in peace and unity, in love, caring for one another, helping each other? Paul instructs the church to  "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.  Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  (Eph 4:2-3 NIV)

Supporting Those Who Minister Christian has liberties and freedoms in Christ, but you must consider more than just yourself.  We know in scripture that there are things that are definitely wrong and we have no doubt that those things are wrong, but these gray areas that I have been talking about, we have freedom and complete liberty, but love for God and of others limits that liberty.
Honest Living Part I Do you life your life as honest as  you can?  Did you know you can lie to God?  Pastor Bob helps us examine the true heart of the matter and how to live honestly for the Lord.
Dealing with Depression 1 in 10 people will experience some form or depression in their life.  Pastor Bob reveals the cause, symptoms, and solution for depression.
When Tragedy Stirkes Notes about the Orlando Shooting, what biblical response should Christans have?
Examine Your Hearrt As Christians, we should be different, set apart, behave different than the world.  Is the Church different from the world?  This message is to help us examine ourselves and the church.
A Community of Believers Based off of Luke 10:25-37, the Good Samaritan, Ben brings a message on the Christians community.
Rise up O' Church Let's stand up, take responisbility for what is going on around us and start to make a difference!
The Significance of a Mother                                                                                            Don't under estimate the importance of a mother.  The influence they have on their Children.

Why Does God Allow Evil in the World Today
Many want to be mad a God for all the terrible atorsity's that happen in the world today. We don't want to believe that God, a loving God would allow evil, allow bad things to happen, yet we see it all around us. Evil is in the world today, and if it is in the world today, is God powerless to stop it? The answer is NO! In this two part series we will look at evil and why it is in our world today. I pray you will benefit from this series.

Empty, Meaningless Religion

Empty, Meaningless Religion
Today we are going to look at three dangers in regards to faith. All of us have grown up with traditions within our families. We were also taught right from wrong and it has an impact on our life. Some grew up in church, some didn’t. Some had parents that cared, some didn’t. Some had some grew up in stable homes while others were broken. However you grew up, all of these things help shape your worldview of things and it actually even affects you today

The Redemptive Power of the Resurrection

The Christian faith hinges on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If there is no bodily resurrection then our faith is worthless (John 15:12-19), however Christ is risen from the dead and in Him we are made alive (John 15:20-23)
